Tobacco Project Awards
A group of S1 Pupils took part in a Tobacco Project whilst at Fallahill Primary School, which earned them both local & National Awards. On Monday 7th September, they were further credited with a level 3 Dynamic Youth Award, additional recognition of their fantastic achievement. They held exhibitions in the ‘Centre’ Livingston and Fauldhouse Partnership Centre sharing what they had learned about the effects of smoking and engaged with over 200 people. They were then involved with the creation of ‘Tobacco Free Generations’ a DVD resource for use in Primary School Tobacco Education. Following on from this they campaigned in their village about having smoke free playparks. Over 1000 residents signed an agreement supporting their campaign and Fauldhouse Smoke Free Playparks was launched in June. A first for the East of Scotland. Well Done to all the pupils involved.
