Scottish Parliament Visit
On Tuesday 8th December, the S5/6 Higher English class visited the Scottish Parliament. They are studying the poem "Open the Doors!" which was written by the then Scots Makir, Edwin Morgan, for the opening of the Scottish Parliament building. They were able to witness first hand the architecture and materials described in the poem. They gained a real sense of the poet's description of the Parliament and the hopes of the Scottish people. The tour was very enjoyable as well as informative, largely thanks to our guide, Frances Mowat and the interactive resources she provided.
